Nic Adams – Owner and host
Nic was born in Cape Town on 2 December 1960. His father retired as the City Administrator of Cape Town and then served as the first City of Cape Town Ombudsman. He has two older brothers residing in Durban, South Africa. Nic is a divorced father of three children – Kelly, a qualified Doctor of Chiropractic and living in Durban, Nicole, who is commencing reading psychology at UNAM in Windhoek in February 2012 and Kyle who is enters High School at the Walvis Bay Private High School in 2012. Nic bought Langholm Hotel in April 2005 and has certainly found his vocation - "I enjoy almost every aspect of the hotel business and have built up a wonderful guest base of friends over the past 6 years."
Kristi-Lee Bester – Assistant Manager
Born in Windhoek in the Khomas Region on 16 October 1989, Kristi-Lee matriculated from Academia Secondary School in 2007. She completed her N6 National Certificate in Hospitality and Catering Services at Boland College in Stellenbosch in 2010. Kirsti-Lee joined the Langholm clan in February 2011 after completing her practical assignment at Rustenbosch Guest House in Stellenbosch 2010.
Nicole de Klerk
Nicole was born on 18 July 1993 in Walvis Bay. Nicole completed Grade 12 at Elnatan Private School in Stampriet in 2011 – one of her subjects was a N3 in Hospitality Services. Nicole joined the Langholm Clan on Monday 9 January 2012.
Deupoldt Louw - Gourmet Chef
Deupoldt was born on 16 October 1980 in Windhoek. Deupoldt completed Grade 12 in 1993 at Koln Foundation in Arandis and then went on to study Culinary Arts. Deupoldt completed many varied courses covering the intricacies of various types of meats and fish, buffets, starters, desserts and function catering. He completed the comprehensive finishing course for Chefs at the Nice (Namibian Institute of Culinary Education) in Windhoek in 2006 and subsequently worked with Wilderness Safaris and previously at the Langholm Hotel for a year-long stretch during 2009 and 2010. Deupoldt rejoins the Clan with effect from 16 January 2012.
Andries Ndjene – Our famous Breakfast Chef
Andries has been with the hotel since it was built (1996); he's also responsible for General Maintenance. Andries was born at Okomakwiya in the Omusati region on 8 February 1972 and has two children, Ismael & Thomas. Andries has quite a fascinating employment record with us. He was originally employed as a general worker by the company that built the hotel. The original owners of Langholm offered him a job to help with upkeep of the garden, and he showed interest to better his position and was introduced as a Kitchen Assistant to help prepare breakfast. Under the careful eye of the then Assistant Manager, a trained Cordon Bleu Chef, Andries took to the job like a hand in a glove and became responsible for breakfast preparation on alternate weekends. When our Head Breakfast Chef left our employ in 2008, Andries took over the reigns as the Head Breakfast Chef and never looked back. Andries is famous for his delicious Langholm Full House Omelette. We're told by many that it is the BEST they've ever had.
Rosalia Shimuningeni – The Adams Home Cleaner & Alternate Weekend Langholm Laundry Lady
Rosalia has been with us since February 2008. She was born at Omantwadiva in the Omusati Region on the 25th of April 1984. Rosalia has one child, Hefel.
Hilalia Amalwa – Laundry LadyHilalia was born at Oshikuku in the Omusati Region on 27 September 1970, has 6 children; Naemi, Tangeni, Victoria, Vute, Tangi and Shigwedha. She joined our clan in October 2008.
Ismael Ndjene – Gardener / General Cleaner
Isamael has been part of the clan since January 2009. Ismael was born at Okomakwiya in the Omusati Region on November 29, 1979. He has two children; Naango and Martin. He is also brother to our chef, Andries.
Mesteride Albertius – Kitchen Assistant / General Cleaner
Mesteride joined Langholm in June 2009, was born in Enoleu, Omusati Region on 26 June 1985. She has two children, Victoria and Aune.
Johannes Van Wyk – Painter
Johannes was born at Rehoboth on June 23rd, 1980, is married to Mina and together they have three children; Aleta, Edwardo and Dankies. He joined us in January 2010.
